Position Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating material-handling equipment to support daily warehouse operations within a 3PL (third-party logistics) environment. This role ensures accurate receiving, storage, picking, and shipment of customer products while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and in compliance with OSHA standards.

• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring products are handled with care and placed in the correct storage locations.

• Pick, pull, and stage orders accurately according to customer requirements and warehouse procedures.

• Perform inventory moves, replenishments, cycle counts, and stock rotation as directed.

• Inspect forklifts daily and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.

• Maintain a clean, organized working area and follow all 5S and safety guidelines.

• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to scan, track, and verify product movement.

• Support other warehouse functions as needed, including manual picking, labeling, wrapping pallets, or general labor tasks.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, leads, and team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet customer expectations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification upon hire).

• 1–2 years of forklift experience in a warehouse, distribution, or 3PL environment strongly preferred.

• Ability to operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up reach truck, order picker).

• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and WMS systems.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
