Schedule:

- Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

- Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

A small warehousing and logistics company specializing in the storage, handling, and shipment of pet food ingredients. The team is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Shipping Team Lead to oversee daily shipping operations and support warehouse efficiency.

 

Position Summary

The Warehouse Shipping Team Lead is responsible for coordinating daily shipping activities, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining safe and efficient warehouse operations. This role involves supervising workflow, completing industry-standard paperwork, assisting with inventory accuracy, and operating forklifts to move materials and load/unload trucks.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Lead day-to-day shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

- Prepare, review, and maintain paperwork related to shipping, receiving, inventory, and compliance requirements.

- Load and unload trucks using a forklift; ensure all materials are handled safely and stored properly.

- Coordinate staging and organization of outbound shipments.

- Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to company processes.

- Conduct basic inventory checks and help troubleshoot discrepancies.

- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in all warehouse areas.

- Communicate with drivers, vendors, and internal teams regarding shipments and scheduling.

- Train or assist in training warehouse team members as needed.

- Follow all safety guidelines and participate in ongoing safety programs.

 

Qualifications

- Previous warehouse or logistics experience required.

- Prior experience with shipping, receiving, or order fulfillment preferred.

- Forklift operation experience required (certification preferred).

- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete paperwork.

- Good communication and leadership skills.

- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods.

- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
