Production Associate--First Shift

Position Summary: 

 

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for general warehouse responsibilities ranging from picking, packing, receiving and shipping, along with other duties as assigned. The position is responsible for contributing to the integrity of the warehouse processes and systems, which are based on teamwork, quality and excellence.  The position requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a warehouse environment. This position requires exercising independent judgment and critical thinking to perform responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: 

• Performs various warehouse duties such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping; as assigned
• Ensures the customer receives their order, as expected, in a timely manner; promotes quality
• Utilizes systems to extract information and input data · Corresponds with other team members via email regarding customer orders and other instructions/communications and details specific to the customer order
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations and housekeeping guidelines, take pride in your work area
• General housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the warehouse
• Properly label and kit vended items, Ensure appropriate stock levels in assigned bin location
• Evaluate the condition and accuracy of inbound shipments following stated protocol

 

Physical Requirements: 

• May be required to stand for long periods of time 
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds 
• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers 
• Must be able to perform visual quality control on products 
• Must be able to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment 
• Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold 

 

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: 

• A High School Diploma or GED 
• 2 – 3 years of warehouse experience in Shipping & Receiving
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and other computer based systems 
• Successful experience in a fast-paced work environment, ability to multi-task
• Previous forklift/powered industrial truck experience preferred, must hold a valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team, be involved & provide solutions
• Must possess effective interpersonal skills
• Must possess strong verbal, written communication and reading skills in English to read documents, complete written documentation, follow written instruction, prioritize work, and ask questions as appropriate 
• Ability to think critically and prioritize strategically

Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm 

Pay: $15.50
