About the Role

A leading contract food service provider is seeking an experienced Chef De Cuisine / Executive Chef to oversee daily culinary operations, high-volume catering, and patron dining services. This role focuses on scratch-made cuisine, whole-food preparation, and delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $68,000–$72,000 (DOE)

  • 5% bonus potential

  • Prior Chef De Cuisine or Executive Chef experience (2+ years) preferred

What You’ll Do

  • Menu Planning: Design menus to meet dietary needs and restrictions

  • Food Preparation: Oversee cooking, portioning, and recipe standards

  • Kitchen Management: Train and supervise cooks, sous chefs, and staff

  • Food Safety: Enforce sanitation, storage, and health regulation compliance

  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage food costs, labor, inventory & supplier contracts

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality presentation and flavor consistency

  • Collaboration: Work with dietitians/nutrition teams for specialized meals

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current on culinary trends and innovations


What You Need

  • Culinary degree/certification preferred

  • 5+ years progressive kitchen/culinary management

  • Proven Executive Chef experience (healthcare or hospitality preferred)

  • Strong leadership and team-development skills

  • Expertise in scratch-made cuisine and creative menu development

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation regulations & SOPs

  • Experience with menu planning, production, inventory & cost control

  • Ability to use immersion blenders, rational ovens, vacuum sealers, etc.

  • Baking knowledge (minimum requirement)

  • ServSafe® Certification

  • Ability to pass federal background check, drug screen & E-Verify

  • Strong communication skills & proficiency in Microsoft 365/recipe systems
