Pay: $21.00-$23.00

Schedule: Day Shift, Monday - Thursday, 4/10 schedule: 5am - 3:30 pm, Friday OT may be mandatory

 

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assemble components according to engineering prints using hand tools and/or power tools to put assemblies together.
• Builds to specification outlined in blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation.
• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
• Maintains equipment and performs basic repairs when needed.
• Assemble electrical components as needed including stripping, crimping, and terminating wires if required.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Move workpieces, tools, and supplies manually or with overhead crane.
• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contact materials handler if supplies are needed.
• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion.
• Make production lead or supervisor aware of issues with respect to quality or prints, or component shortages.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

The desired candidate will possess these qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
• 1-2 years in mechanical assembly experience in automotive or industrial machinery preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as necessary to complete logs or records
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics preferred
• Detail-oriented and consistent
• Works well as a productive member of a team
• Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment
• Must be able to prioritize and exercise independent judgment
• Must know how to read and use a measuring tape
• Power tool experience preferred
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Must have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs at a time
• Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
• Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components
• Ability to bend, stoop, and squat
• Ability to work with arms above head
