Express Employment Professionals is a locally owned and nationally supported staffing agency dedicated to helping businesses grow and people succeed. We provide workforce solutions across light industrial, administrative, skilled trades, and professional sectors. We are expanding our internal team and seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to help drive our continued growth.
The Business Development Representative is responsible for prospecting and generating new business opportunities through proactive outreach, cold calling, and relationship building. This person will engage with local businesses, introduce Express’s staffing solutions, and schedule on-site appointments for our sales and recruiting team. The BDR plays a key role in expanding our market presence and developing long-term client partnerships.
Conduct high-volume cold calls to prospective clients across a defined territory.
Actively prospect for new business through outbound calls, email outreach, networking, and targeted lists.
Identify staffing needs and present Express’s services to decision-makers.
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads using CRM tools.
Schedule discovery meetings, site visits, and presentations for the Business Development Manager and Office Manager.
Follow up with potential clients via phone, email, and social platforms.
Support targeted marketing campaigns, including call blitzes and prospect follow-up.
Maintain detailed records of daily sales activities and lead status.
Collaborate with the recruiting team to understand available employees and marketable skill sets.
Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly prospecting and lead-generation goals.
Represent Express Employment professionally at community events, networking groups, and client visits as needed.
Strong prospecting and cold-calling skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Comfortable with high outbound call volumes and overcoming objections.
Ability to build rapport quickly and professionally.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn the staffing industry.
