Job Description for a Hi-Temp Process Operator:

Operates the furnace/oven equipment for a textile research, development, and manufacturing company in Gardena. Handles the loading and unloading of oven and equipment operation.

 Pay:  $21-$23/hr DOE

Hours:  1st shift: 6a-2:30p M-F

Responsibilities of a Hi-Temp Process Operator:

• Operates furnace/oven equipment.
• Handles the loading and unloading of oven and equipment operation.
• Reads, interprets, and works to instructions such as standard task procedures, work orders, work order instructions, supplementary instructions, specifications, Safety Data Sheets, safety rules.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions. Conducts operator maintenance tasks for all furnace/oven equipment in the area. Handles furnace/oven emergency procedures.
• Prepares samples for quality and performs other quality inspections such as measuring for thickness, length, and weight.
• Visually inspects material for defects and non-conformities.

Requirements and Responsibilities of a Hi-Temp Process Operator:

• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, fulfill the qualifications, skills, abilities, essential duties, and responsibilities of the position as outlined in the job description.
• The employee frequently is required to stand.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.

Education and/or Experience:

High school graduate or GED plus one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
