Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and energetic Cafeteria Worker to join our food services team. This role is responsible for preparing, serving, and maintaining food service operations during breakfast and lunch hours. The ideal candidate will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation & Service

  • Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch items according to daily menus and nutritional guidelines.
  • Assist with portioning and plating food in a timely and sanitary manner.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, warmers, and dishwashers safely.

• Customer Service

  • Greet and assist students and staff courteously.
  • Handle food requests and dietary needs professionally.

• Sanitation & Safety

  • Maintain cleanliness of food prep areas, serving stations, and dining areas.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.

• Inventory & Supplies

  • Restock food, condiments, and supplies during and after service.
  • Report low inventory or equipment issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service or cafeteria experience is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
