Quality Assurance/Quality Control of all Packaging & Blow Molding Processes

• Perform receiving inspections on packaging component materials used in production as deemed necessary.
• Validate 1st-piece and 1st-case samples from packaging lines for conformance to standards
• Validate in-process and final inspections on finished goods by performing a secondary set of quality inspections once every hours on each packaging line.
• Validate in-process and final inspections on finished goods by performing a complete set of quality inspections once every two hours on each Blow Molder.
• Identify, segregate, and assist in the disposition of nonconforming packaging materials and manufactured products. Disposition may include use as is; rework; scrap; etc.
• Approve and authorize the release of finished goods to inventory for customer shipment.
• Request and/or initiate corrective actions to identify cause and eliminate future
nonconformance.
• Assist with the development, implementation, maintenance and documentation of QC Inspection Procedures and Records.
• Assist the Quality Manager in performing the calibration of laboratory inspection, measuring and test equipment.
• Assist Production Planning by counting packaging materials for upcoming production shifts, or cycle count to verify inventory control, as deemed necessary
• Assist Production Manager by helping to reconcile production output, time and records
• Conduct inventory counts of process flush and inspect flush for proper labeling.
• Assist production in loading carton print files and other support duties needed on 2nd shift
• Assist in performing and coordinating the calibration of all Laboratory and Packaging line equipment including those actions performed by Third Parties.
• Assist the Quality Manager in procurement of lab materials and supplies, which are in accordance with applicable company, OEM, and industry standards.
• Collect and provide data for evaluation and utilization on production processes, which is to be reported at the Management Review Meeting.
• Utilize and practice Risk Management Concepts and PDCA Techniques.
• Participate in the identification and continual improvement of organizational processes.
• Support company policies, rules, procedures and safety practices.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as required or assigned.
