Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision components and parts. This role is vital in ensuring high-quality production standards, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety protocols within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Duties

  • Operate a variety of CNC machines including milling machines, lathes, and machining centers, ensuring precise execution of manufacturing specifications.
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to set up machining operations accurately.
  • Program CNC equipment utilizing CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Maintain machine calibration and perform preventative maintenance to ensure consistent operation.
  • Handle materials safely within the manufacturing facility, including materials handling and tooling setup.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure finished products meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
  • Operate auxiliary equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, or fabricating tools as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures diligently while using hand tools, forklifts, or other factory equipment.
  • Document production data accurately and report any machine malfunctions or quality issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or CNC programming environments.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawing interpretation.
  • Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks or similar design tools.
  • Ability to perform CAM programming for complex machining tasks.
  • Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling, fabrication processes, and materials handling.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers.
  • Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is preferred.
  • Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining operations.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding, assembly lines, stamping presses, and forklift operation.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards.

The shift schedule is as follows:

  • Monday through Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Friday: 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM

All hours worked beyond the four 10-hour days are considered overtime.
