Parts Counter Associate – McMinnville, TN

 

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Counter Associate to support daily parts operations within our equipment dealership. This position is responsible for assisting customers and technicians in identifying, locating, and purchasing the correct parts for a wide range of equipment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist walk-in customers, service technicians, and phone inquiries with parts lookup and selection

• Use parts catalogs, diagrams, and computer systems to accurately identify needed components

• Provide pricing, availability, and product information in a professional manner

• Process sales transactions, returns, special orders, and warranty-related parts requests

• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts shipments

• Maintain inventory accuracy and organized bin locations

• Prepare parts for service department work orders

• Keep the parts counter, displays, and storage areas clean, organized, and well-stocked

• Assist with merchandising and displaying retail items

• Communicate effectively with service, sales, and management teams

• Deliver excellent customer service while representing the dealership professionally

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a parts department, equipment dealership, or mechanical environment preferred

• Ability to read parts diagrams and use electronic parts lookup systems

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Basic mechanical knowledge of equipment or machinery is a plus

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
