 Machine Operator – 1st Shift

 

Location: Ocala, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Pay: $17.00/hr
Availability: Must be able to train on 2nd shift(3pm - 11pm) for 1-2 weeks

 

 

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
• Prior experience in production, assembly line, or machine operation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to read gauges and tape measures
• Basic math and computer skills
• Clear verbal and written communication skills

 

Position Overview

Join a top-tier manufacturer of rubber hoses as a 1st Shift Machine Operator. We’re looking for dependable individuals with hands-on experience in production or assembly line environments—especially those familiar with operating or working near machinery in a warehouse setting. This role is essential to maintaining smooth operations and high-quality output.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery including tooling setup, winding, and reinforcement
• Monitor extruder controls and ensure consistent feed stock
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure product quality and consistency
• Assist with line startups and shutdowns
• Complete production paperwork and follow supervisor instructions
• Report equipment issues to Team Lead or Maintenance
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
• Support yarn rewind operations and assist in training as needed

 

 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
• Lift up to 45 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working in a warm, noisy plant environment
