Job Title: Building & Machine Maintenance Technician
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $20/hour

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building and Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on repair skills, and experience working with industrial equipment. Welding (MIG/Stick) and PLC exposure are required. This role is essential for keeping our facility, production equipment, and systems running efficiently and safely.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Machine Maintenance & Repair

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on production machines.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Repair or replace motors, belts, sensors, bearings, hydraulics, and other components.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment (basic understanding, diagnostics, resets, and assisting with programming adjustments).

Building Maintenance

• Perform general facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, minor electrical, and structural repairs.
• Assist with upkeep of shop areas, tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ensure all work areas remain clean, safe, and organized.

Safety & Documentation

• Follow all safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Document maintenance work, parts used, and equipment performance.
• Communicate with supervisors and production team regarding machine status and repair needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in industrial or building maintenance preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Welding experience required (MIG and Stick).
• Experience working with PLC equipment (basic troubleshooting).
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently.
