Job Summary

A precision manufacturing company specializing in thermal spray coating and part restoration is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist in Springfield, NJ. This position involves operating CNC and manual machining equipment to produce and finish precision metal components used in aerospace, industrial, pump/valve, and energy sector applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, engine lathes, and precision grinding equipment

• Perform setups, tool changes, and machine adjustments to meet production requirements

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions

• Measure completed parts using calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, bore gauges, etc.

• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments

• Perform finishing operations such as turning, drilling, tapping, threading, facing, and boring

• Complete production documentation and maintain clean work area

• Follow safety standards and equipment maintenance procedures

Requirements

• Prior CNC machining experience required

• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools

• Experience operating CNC lathes, mills, and grinding equipment

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for full shift

• Reliable transportation to Springfield, NJ

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of machining for coating restoration or repair (a plus, not required)

• Manual machining experience (engine lathe or manual mill)
