Express Employment is looking for Seamstresses. There are 2 positions.

Position 1 Hours: Monday & Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm 

Position 2 Hours: 24-32 hour work weeks 9:00 am - 5 or 5:30 pm. Some weekends 10am-3pm hours will vary, Monday-Sunday

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00/Hour

Location: Chico, Ca

Position 1 Job Description:

• Operates industrial sewing machine to assemble mattresses
• Sewing mattress panels, borders and other components
• Performing quality control checks
• Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
• Other duties as assigned

Position 1 Requirements:

• 1 year of current experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move materials or finished products
• Attention to details

Position 2 Job Description:

• Precisely measuring customers with tape measures to ensure garments fit correctly.
• Checking that sewing machines and other equipment are functioning properly.
• Modifying or repairing garments and other items, including hemming, mending, lengthening, and adjusting seams.
• Fitting garments on customers to assess necessary alterations.
• Creating garments and other items based on customers’ specifications and preferences.
• Labeling garments and recording required alterations.
• Engaging with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and specifications.
• Using irons and pressing machines to remove creases from garments and other items.
• Other duties as assigned

Position 2 Requirements:

• 1 year of current experience
• Strong understanding of different fabrics and sewing techniques
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
• Proficiency in safely operating various sewing machines
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Strong communication skills
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Attention to details
