Hours: M-F 7:30a-4p (30 minute lunch)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Purchasing Clerk to support procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP, strong skills in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to communicate professionally with a diverse supply base. This role ensures purchasing activities are accurate, timely, and aligned with mill standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders accurately in SAP.

• Maintain purchasing records, vendor information, and material data.

• Track order status, follow up with suppliers, and resolve delivery issues.

• Communicate professionally with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order discrepancies.

• Assist with sourcing materials and obtaining competitive quotes as needed.

• Update spreadsheets, logs, and reports using advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, filtering, etc.).

• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability.

• Support purchasing team with administrative tasks, documentation, and special projects if needed.

• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and attention to detail in all procurement transactions.

Qualifications:

• SAP experience is required—must be comfortable entering and managing transactions.

• Strong Excel skills (data entry, formulas, sorting, reporting).

• Excellent communication and professional vendor management skills.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilities.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and manage multiple priorities.
