Insurance Customer Service Representative

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00

 

We have been asked by an Insurance Agency with offices in Cicero and Carmel, IN to help them find a Customer Service Representative.
In this role, you will provide exceptional service to insurance clients by answering questions, processing policy changes, and supporting the agency team in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

 

Pay, Hours, and Benefits:

• Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, mainly at the Cicero office. Occasionally you will report to the Carmel office.
• This is a contract-to-hire job opportunity.

What will you do as a Customer Service Representative?

• Answer phones and consult with clients regarding insurance coverage, policy changes, and reviews
• Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service
• Work with insurance carrier systems, underwriters, lenders, and internal teams to create proposals and submit applications
• Handle customer concerns and follow through to resolution
• Maintain accurate records in the agency management system
• Support the team with daily tasks and special projects
• Participate in occasional community events (scheduled in advance)
• Maintain a clean and professional office environment

What qualifications will you have as a Customer Service Representative?

• Detail-oriented with a calm, professional demeanor
• Passionate about educating and helping customers
• Comfortable multitasking and managing multiple calls daily
• Strong communicator who is personable, ethical, and trustworthy
• Motivated to learn and grow in a dynamic team setting
• Insurance experience is helpful but not required
• Must obtain an insurance license in Auto, Home, and Life (training and first exam fee covered)
• Must maintain license through continuing education (CE)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and able to type quickly while on the phone
