Lead Mitigation Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Restoration & Mitigation Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing water, fire, and mold mitigation projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality work, accurate documentation, and excellent customer communication. The ideal candidate has hands-on restoration experience, leadership skills, and industry certifications such as IICRC Water Damage Restoration (WRT).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform mitigation services related to water, fire, mold, and storm damage

• Conduct onsite assessments and determine the scope of loss

• Set up, operate, and monitor mitigation equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, extractors, HEPA filtration, etc.)

• Manage tear-outs, demolition, and removal of affected materials

• Complete documentation including moisture readings, photos, job notes, and digital logs (Xactimate experience preferred)

• Train and guide technicians during job assignments

• Communicate professionally with customers, property owners, insurance adjusters, and team members

• Ensure all safety standards and protocols are followed

• Maintain and service equipment, inventory supplies, and prepare vehicles for upcoming jobs

• Respond to emergency service calls and participate in on-call rotation

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of restoration or mitigation experience

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs, work in confined spaces, attics, basements, etc.

• Strong understanding of moisture mapping, equipment placement, and structural drying

• Excellent communication, customer-service, and problem-solving skills

• Reliability and ability to manage jobs with minimal supervision

• IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) — strongly preferred

• IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD)

• IICRC Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)

• Mold Remediation Technician certification

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (optional)
