Yard Laborer

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3pm

Pay: $21.00 per hour, temp to hire

 

 

Position Summary: Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Laborer to join their team. The Yard Laborer will be responsible for maintaining yard organization, loading and unloading materials, and supporting daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and safety standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload scaffolding, equipment, and materials from trucks and trailers
• Organize and maintain yard inventory, ensuring materials are properly stored and accessible
• Inspect equipment and materials for damage or defects and report issues to supervisor
• Assist with cleaning, sorting, and tagging equipment
• Operate forklifts and other yard equipment (certification required or provided)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
• Assist with equipment assembly and disassembly as needed
• Support drivers and field teams with loading requirements
• Perform general labor duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in warehouse, yard, or construction environment preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds regularly
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Basic understanding of hand and power tools
• Forklift certification preferred (training may be provided)
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to work in outdoor environments with exposure to weather elements
