Job Description: Landscape Supply Yard Worker

Starting Pay: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Saturdays: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM  When needed
Overtime: 10–15 hours weekly

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable, hardworking Yard Worker to support daily operations in our landscape supply yard. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, customer-focused, and comfortable working outdoors while operating equipment such as forklifts and loaders.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and loaders safely and effectively
• Assist customers in the yard and direct them to additional help when necessary
• Pull, organize, and prepare customer orders
• Safely load customer vehicles with purchased materials
• Communicate clearly with coworkers verbally and via handheld radios
• Maintain and take responsibility for forklift/loader condition and usage
• Operate additional equipment as needed, including golf carts and wheeled loaders
• Load and unload trucks, as well as third-party delivery trucks
• Stock the yard with incoming materials and products
• Restack or consolidate materials/products; replace broken pallets as needed
• Move pallets between yard and overstock areas; rotate inventory to ensure freshness
• Clean and sweep all yard areas to maintain a safe and organized environment
• Produce bagged materials and build 3’ x 150’ rolls of weed block

Requirements

• Ability to speak and read English
• Forklift and loader experience preferred (training/certification available)
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required
