Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician for commercial property repair and upkeep. This is a full-time opportunity for a dependable, hands-on professional who enjoys variety in their workday and can handle gritty, physical maintenance tasks both indoors and outdoors.

We are seeking a well-rounded technician with experience in general building maintenance including drywall repair, painting/finishing, basic wiring, and interior/exterior repairs. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality work, safety, and reliability.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, your daily duties will include:

Repairing and patching drywall, including sanding, mudding, and finishing.
Performing painting and finishing work to restore or refresh interiors/exteriors.
Completing basic electrical/wiring repairs such as replacing fixtures, outlets, switches, and troubleshooting minor issues.
Conducting general commercial property repairs: doors, trim, flooring, hardware, and light carpentry.
Performing interior and exterior maintenance, including minor structural fixes, pressure washing, and site cleanup.
Responding to work orders and repairing issues in a timely and professional manner.
Using hand and power tools safely (drills, impacts, saws, ladders, etc.).
Maintaining organized job logs and reporting materials needed to supervisors.
Ensuring work areas remain clean, safe, and compliant with company standards.

Requirements

Prior experience in commercial or residential maintenance (required).
Strong skills in drywall repair and finishing.
Painting experience, including prep work and final touch-ups.
Basic electrical knowledge and comfort with light wiring tasks.
Ability to perform gritty, hands-on work in varied conditions.
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical duties (standing, bending, climbing ladders).
Reliable transportation to job sites.
Proven reliability and consistent work history (tenure preferred).

Shifts & Hours

Full-time schedule, Monday – Friday
1st shift hours (may vary slightly depending on property needs)
Overtime may be available based on workload
