Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Alterations Specialist to join an established luxury clothing boutique in Naples, FL. In this role, you will use your expertise in sewing and garment construction to tailor, modify, and repair clothing to meet each customer’s unique needs. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, strong technical abilities, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct customer fittings, take precise measurements, and determine the best alteration approach.
• Perform a wide range of garment alterations, including hemming, repairing seams, adjusting fit, and mending damage.
• Work with diverse textiles, from everyday fabrics to delicate and high-end materials such as silk, leather, and lace.
• Operate and maintain standard and industrial sewing machines, sergers, and other equipment.
• Provide outstanding customer service by clearly communicating with clients to understand their preferences and ensure satisfaction.
• Manage workload effectively and meet established deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Alterations Specialist, Seamstress, or Tailor
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and proper use of both machine and hand-sewing methods.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with high-end or formalwear alterations is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
