Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload shipments.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory movements.
• Perform order picking tasks with precision using pickers and other warehouse tools.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, or storage areas with attention to safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to facilitate smooth operations.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate material movement and storage strategies.
• Operate cranes or other specialized equipment as needed for construction or heavy-duty tasks.
• Support inventory management through regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related logistics roles.
• Skilled in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, and other heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control.
• Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Experience with order picking processes using <PERSON> pickers or similar tools.
• Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and proper ergonomic practices.
• Ability to operate load & unload machinery efficiently while maintaining safety compliance.
• Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities.
• Construction or industrial background is advantageous for understanding heavy equipment operation.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively within a team environment.
