Residential Care Worker

Location: DeWitt, AR
Schedule: Full-time (may include evenings, weekends, or overnights)
Pay: Based on experience

 

Job Summary:
We’re looking for caring and dependable individuals to join our team as Residential Care Workers. This role supports youth ages 13–21 in a residential setting by providing daily care, guidance, and a safe, stable environment for growth and healing.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily supervision and care for residents, ensuring safety and well-being

• Assist with daily routines, meals, hygiene, and chores

• Support educational goals through tutoring, homework help, and life skills activities

• Encourage positive behavior and healthy relationships

• Supervise social and recreational activities

• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of daily observations and incidents

• Communicate consistently with other staff and outside agencies as needed

• Support supervised family visits when required

• Help de-escalate conflicts and handle behavioral challenges appropriately

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED

• Must be able to work with children and youth ages 13–21

• Must be patient and understanding

• Must be flexible to work a rotating shift, including possible weekends

• Experience working with youth or in residential care is a plus

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to stay calm and dependable in challenging situations

• Able to pass required background checks and complete necessary training
