CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift 

This position is Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm CST 

Pay: $18 per hour

Must be able to train on day shift for the first 3 weeks of work 

This position is full -time temp to perm and offers full benefits. 

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join a leading manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of production machinery to produce high-quality components with precision and consistency. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions

• Measure, inspect, and verify product dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other tools

• Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and meet production specifications

• Monitor equipment during operation to ensure smooth performance and prevent defects

• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working condition

• Troubleshoot machine issues and communicate any concerns to supervisors

• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and company quality standards

• Maintain accurate production records and documentation

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment (required)

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and precision measurement tools

• Strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Experience with CNC equipment preferred but not required

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
