Field Superintendent | Direct Hire Opportunity

Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift | 40–47 hrs per week
Location: Travel required (primarily Midwest, with some overnight/out-of-town work)

About the Role

We are seeking a Field Superintendent to lead installation crews for paint booth systems. This is a direct hire opportunity with a growing company, where you will oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency on every job site. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in construction supervision, mechanical installation, or electrical troubleshooting, and enjoys leading a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support a crew of 3–5 installers

  • Oversee installation, setup, and servicing of paint booths

  • Troubleshoot daily issues on-site (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic)

  • Set up proper airflow and ensure systems operate to specifications

  • Maintain clean and organized job sites, vehicles, and tools

  • Use iPad/phone to take notes, update records, and utilize company software

  • Ensure safety and quality standards are consistently met

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience in construction, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or general installation preferred

  • Ability to read prints and schematics

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to adapt under pressure

  • Proficient in time management and problem solving

  • Moderate data entry skills; ability to use digital devices for reporting

  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Work Hours & Conditions

  • Monday–Friday, 1st shift schedule (40–47 hrs/week)

  • Occasional overnight or out-of-town travel required (be home for dinner 85% of nights) 

  • Work may involve varying conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow), but majority is indoors

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, pull, and reach overhead

  • Lift 40–60 lbs

  • Comfortable working at heights (ladders, scissor lifts, rooftops)
