We’re looking for a Bakery Manager who can provide strong administrative leadership, guide our team, coordinate production, and help us meet growing customer demand.
The Bakery Manager works closely with the owners to support the bakery’s goals, finances, staff, and production flow. This role leads personnel management, oversees daily administrative needs, and uses sales analysis to plan efficient and effective production.

Help build capacity as demand grows.
Manage budgets and monitor financial health.
Evaluate income streams and identify opportunities for business growth.
Improve internal systems and processes to increase productivity.
Conduct sales analysis and set production targets.
Develop strategies to meet customer needs and expand wholesale business.
Coordinate and participate in management and departmental meetings.
Ensure opening, closing, and maintenance tasks are assigned and completed.
Oversee ordering of general supplies and equipment.
Serve as the primary Human Resources contact.
Lead hiring processes and support evaluation by department leads.
Supervise, support, and mentor department leads.
Develop training guidelines and checkpoints.
Assist with staff training and scheduling.
Address conflict through positive, open, and compassionate communication.
Model a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture.
Support diversity, teamwork, and staff empowerment.
Work with department leads to create production calendars.
Coordinate wholesale and special orders within the production schedule.
Ensure timely product delivery.
Contribute expertise in production efficiency, quality, and technique.
Support production directly when needed.
Experience in a bakery or food service operation, including leadership responsibilities.
Strong leadership skills: goal-setting, motivating, training, and mentoring staff.
Solid management and organizational abilities.
Experience in strategic thinking and planning.
Knowledge of budgeting and financial monitoring.
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and active listening.
Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency with basic computer tools (scheduling, inventory, spreadsheets).
Familiarity with whole-grain baking or willingness to learn.
Ability to understand how various parts of the business work together.
Availability to work a flexible schedule.
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
Current Oregon Food Handler certification.
