Construction Cost Accountant
Located in port richmond, PA
Salary: $85,000
Specialized Recruiting Group, a division of Express Employment Professionals, is seeking a Construction Cost Accountant for a growing construction company in the Philadelphia area. This is a full-time, onsite role, supporting accounting operations across multiple active projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
• Prepare and send client invoices for active jobs
• Manage A/R cycle: deposits, collections, posting, reconciliation
• Resolve billing discrepancies and maintain accurate records
• Prepare journal entries and support monthly reporting
Accounts Payable
• Process vendor invoices with 3-way match
• Enter AP into SAGE 100 with correct GL coding
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve variances
• Manage checks, credit card reconciliations, and expense reports
General Accounting
• Support month-end close and financial reporting
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with construction job costing and project documentation
• Support compliance, audits, and financial recordkeeping
Qualifications:
• Required: Construction accounting experience
• Required: SAGE 100 proficiency
• Strong AP/AR background
• Solid Excel and data accuracy skills
• Preferred: ADP
Compensation & Employment Details
This is a direct-hire position with full benefits, paid time off, and long-term growth potential.
Salary Range: $75,000–$93,000, depending on experience.
