Welder/Fitter

Located in Rio Vista, CA

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00

Welder – Solano County

$25.00 - $30.00 

Monday - Friday 

5:00am to 1:00pm + OT as needed

Primary Duties:

• Assemble parts and components using MIG, TIG, ARC, and Oxygen Acetylene welding techniques.
• Perform basic layout and fabrication from drawings and diagrams.
• Operate tools and equipment including cutting torches, power saws, grinders, cranes, drill press, and forklifts.
• Suggest and build approved fixture designs.
• Promote and maintain shop safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned across the company.

Work Environment:

• Primarily shop-based with occasional outdoor work exposed to the elements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a fabrication shop.
• Welder’s certificate or ability to pass Barriers’ weld test.
• High school diploma, GED, or vocational technical training preferred.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and shop math.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
• Forklift training desirable.
• Must be able to read and comprehend English.
• Willingness to work overtime and different shifts as needed.
