Job Title: Woodshop Worker Location: Dixon, CA Department: Southwest Division – Woodshop Reports To: Woodshop Lead / Production Manager Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (overtime and weekends as needed)
The Woodshop Worker sets up and operates woodworking machinery to surface, cut, and shape lumber used in the fabrication of wood components for concrete float systems. This position requires hands-on production work, a strong attention to safety, and the ability to follow shop drawings and blueprints.
Set up and operate saws, sanders, boring machines, and other woodworking equipment
Cut, shape, and finish wood components according to specifications
Verify part dimensions and ensure adherence to shop drawings and blueprints
Assemble fabricated wood parts into sections for concrete floats
Maintain safety standards and perform other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and measuring tools (e.g., tape measure)
Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting
Regularly lift 10–25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs, and more than 100 lbs with assistance
Visual acuity for close, distance, and peripheral vision
Frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions and varying outdoor weather
Occasional exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and vibration
Moderate to loud noise levels depending on equipment use
Includes but is not limited to hand tools, power tools, saws, grinders, drills, forklifts, and other woodworking and construction equipment.
