An industrial and machining company in Benicia, CA is seeking an Operations Manager with strong leadership skills and excellent organizational and scheduling abilities with strong attention to detail.

Pay range: $45.00 - $50.00/ hour DOE

 

This role manages up to 30 employees across shop and field service teams, ensuring jobs are staffed, equipped, and completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The Operations Manager serves as the link between customers, technicians, and management, balancing operational efficiency with exceptional customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Supervise, schedule, and support employees in shop and field operations.
• Ensure proper staffing levels for workload, balancing shop repairs and field service projects.
• Ensure inventory, consumables, and spare parts are tracked and available as needed
• Maintain compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Review, approve, and track job quotations for accuracy and profitability.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding scheduling, project updates, and issue resolution.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including job completion rates, labor efficiency, and profitability.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for leadership review.
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications: 

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations management, preferably in industrial service industries
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams of 20+ employees
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP/CMMS software.
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and work scopes (preferred).
• OSHA, safety, or industry certifications a plus
