About the Role:
We’re seeking a fast-paced, organized Expeditor to support mailroom operations and ensure steady workflow across the team. This role keeps the mailroom running smoothly by distributing work, prepping mail, assisting team members, and maintaining materials and equipment.

Job Duties

Mail Prep

• Jog incoming mail and open envelopes using the extractor or by hand

• Open parcels and prep materials for processing

• Support un-binning as couriers drop off new mail

• Jog prepped mail as needed to support scanning operations

• Follow correct steps based on stick type

• Spot-check for missorted mail

Expediting

• Ensure all team members always have at least two workable batches available

• Distribute work equally, without preference or favoritism

• Provide empty blue bins, remove cardboard waste, and collect empty red/grey bins

• Keep printers stocked and deliver cover sheets, half sheets, and needed materials

• Minimize team downtime by handling indirect tasks for them

• Move completed prep batches to the correct destination

• Bulk completed scan work (Opex, IBML, Kodak) and shelve it appropriately

• Provide empty boxes to scan operators as needed

• Assist with weekly shred activities

Cover Sheet Audits

• Complete cover sheet audits after appropriate training

• Move audited batches to scanning stations once complete

General

• Improve mailroom productivity by assisting team members and supporting workflow

• Follow all established procedures and escalate concerns appropriately

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of office or service-related experience

• Basic Microsoft Office skills

• Ability to type 30 WPM

• Clear, consistent, and professional communication

• Physically able to stand for long periods, bend, lift, push, and reach

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and push carts weighing up to 200 lbs

• Comfortable using carts, mailroom equipment, and printers

• Strong attention to detail, fast-paced work style, and ability to anticipate needs
