Assembly Mechanic – 2nd Shift

The Assembly Mechanic works under the supervision of the Assembly Supervisor to assemble unit sections and sub-assemblies according to company standards. This role may work independently or as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. This is a long-term, full-time position that pays $19.40/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and components into completed unit sections and sub-assemblies
• Follow work instructions, production orders, and shop drawings to meet quality standards
• Use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Identify and correct mistakes with a positive, continuous improvement mindset
• Participate in team efforts focused on safety, quality, and process improvement
• Meet productivity, safety, and quality targets, including maintaining 90% efficiency
• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and movement throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Ability to read production orders and basic shop drawings
• Basic shop math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions)
• Ability to measure using a tape measure to 1/16"
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Ability to operate an overhead crane after training
• High school diploma or GED preferred
