Recovery/Loan Support Specialist

FT, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

$20-$25/hour DOE

Contract Assignment 6mo-1yr

Duties:

Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts and reports all potential large loss accounts immediately to management
Making outbound calls
Identifying issues attributing to account delinquencies and discuss with management
Provide timely follow-up payment arrangements
Mail/text correspondence to members to encourage payment of delinquent accounts
Provide direct support to consumer lending in the areas of title tracking, debt protection claim administration, and miscellaneous support to mortgage processing.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years experience in account collections/loan recovery
Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, ability to plan, prioritize and work effectively and efficiently. Must be able to work independently with excellent time management skills.
Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing transactions and determining appropriate actions; listen and respond quickly and courteously to member requests; meet and communicate directly with members in a tactful, efficient manner either in person or over the telephone or by correspondence. Must have strong negotiation/customer service skills with the ability to be informative so that members can make informed decisions on correcting their delinquency.
Competent with computer technology, collection software, and collection tools.
In depth knowledge of all credit union products and services as well as applicable regulations.
Displays an ongoing commitment to learning and self-improvement in areas that are job and/or organization-relevant.
