Construction Laborer (Fire Sprinkler Install) – 3 Month Project

 

We are seeking reliable and safety-minded Construction Laborers to join a professional fire sprinkler installation crew for a 3-month project. This role involves installing fire sprinkler piping at roof level inside new construction warehouses, working 30–40 feet in the air using scissor lifts. All tools and safety equipment are provided.

 

Location: Gardner KS / Springhill KS
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Conditions: Construction / Warehouse Environment – Work at Heights
Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour (based on general construction experience; up to $30.00/hr with fire sprinkler experience)
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Position Summary:

The Construction Laborer will support the installation of fire sprinkler systems inside large warehouse projects. Candidates will receive on-site training to learn installation techniques and proper safety procedures. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role requiring consistent attendance, strong work ethic, and the ability to work safely at elevated heights.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation of fire sprinkler piping at elevated heights (30–40 ft) using scissor lifts

• Follow all safety and PPE requirements; attend safety training prior to starting

• Handle tools, piping, and construction materials safely and efficiently

• Learn installation techniques directly from experienced crew members

• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow direction from site leadership

• Report to the jobsite each morning by 7:00am

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be dependable and available for a consistent Monday–Friday schedule

• Must attend in-office interview prior to placement

• Must complete safety training and pick up provided tools before first jobsite day

• Must be comfortable working at heights and using scissor lifts (training provided)

• Must wear proper attire: boots, pants, t-shirt, and weather-appropriate clothing

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor throughout the shift

Preferred Experience:

• Fire sprinkler installation experience (eligible for higher pay up to $30/hr)

• General construction or warehouse labor experience

• Experience working on elevated platforms or operating tools
