Job Title: Sidewalk Snow Equipment Operator

Location: Corning, NY
Pay Rate: $30/hour
Schedule: On call during snow events, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Position Summary:
The Sidewalk Snow Equipment Operator is responsible for clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, entrances, stairways, and other pedestrian areas using small machinery and manual tools. This role requires attention to detail, safe operation of equipment, and the ability to respond quickly during snow events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment and report any issues promptly

• Operate snow blowers, sidewalk tractors, and other small machinery safely and efficiently

• Clear snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, entrances, stairways, and other pedestrian areas

• Communicate with team leaders and supervisors regarding route completion, weather conditions, and safety concerns

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, equipment storage, and tools

Qualifications:

• Experience using snow blowers, sidewalk tractors, or similar small machinery preferred

• Reliable transportation and ability to respond quickly during snow events

• Ability to work outdoors in freezing temperatures, heavy snowfall, and slippery conditions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
