This role supports day-to-day operations within a high-volume precast concrete production yard — overseeing safety, quality, production efficiency, and workforce management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in precast or heavy manufacturing and a proven ability to manage teams and workflow in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Production Management

• Plan, schedule, and oversee daily plant production to meet output and delivery goals.

• Coordinate with management, dispatch, and sales to align production with customer requirements.

• Manage raw material inventory, equipment utilization, and mold preparation.

• Monitor workflow, adjusting labor and resources to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all products meet industry, customer, and internal quality standards.

• Partner with QC technicians to resolve quality issues and maintain documentation.

• Ensure compliance with Caltrans, PCI, and industry standards.

Safety & Workforce Leadership

• Promote a strong safety culture following OSHA and company policies.

• Conduct safety meetings, training, and facility audits.

• Hire, train, coach, and evaluate employees to ensure high performance and accountability.

• Foster teamwork and continuous improvement within production teams.

Equipment & Facility Maintenance

• Coordinate preventative maintenance and ensure equipment reliability.

• Work with maintenance staff to minimize downtime and maintain facility organization.

Cost Control & Reporting

• Track labor, production efficiency, and material usage to manage costs effectively.

• Prepare daily and weekly production and performance reports for management review.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in precast concrete production or related manufacturing environment (required).

• 2+ years of supervisory or plant management experience (required).

• Strong working knowledge of precast production methods, molds, and curing processes.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• Proficient in production scheduling, inventory control, and basic computer systems.

• Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

• PCI certification or familiarity with PCI standards preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment (heat, cold, dust, noise).

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

• Must wear required PPE at all times.
