We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-driven Receiving Coordinator to support yard operations by ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant processing of all inbound materials. This role is essential to maintaining traceability, organizing workflow, and supporting productivity across the pipe yard.
$18–$22/hr DOE
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Full-time, long-term opportunity
The Receiving Coordinator ensures accurate, efficient, and safe processing of all inbound materials. This position maintains material traceability, coordinates receiving workflows, and supports smooth operations across the yard.
Coordinate inbound truck arrivals and assign unload locations
Verify materials against purchase orders and shipping documents
Confirm quantities, pipe sizes, grades, heat numbers, and coatings
Report visual inspections for damage, defects, or nonconformances
Immediately notify Inventory, QC, and Management of discrepancies
Prepare accurate receiving reports
Upload data into ERP or yard management systems
Ensure all MTRs, BOLs, packing lists, and receiving documents are complete
Tag or label materials/documents to maintain full traceability
Support inventory cycle counts and corrections
Communicate unloading instructions to forklift, loader, or crane operators
Manage traffic flow and ensure safe truck movement
Store pipe for QC, storage, or outbound orders
Assist with maintaining a clean, organized receiving area
Enforce PPE requirements and yard safety protocols
Stop unsafe unloading or rigging activity
Comply with API, customer, and internal quality standards
Segregate nonconforming materials
Check in drivers and validate paperwork
Resolve shipping discrepancies professionally
Provide updates to dispatch, inventory, and management
2+ years’ experience in a pipe yard, manufacturing, or warehouse environment (preferred)
Understanding of pipe terminology (OD, wall thickness, grade, heat numbers, joints) preferred
Ability to read BOLs, packing lists, and MTRs preferred
Proficiency with email, Excel, scanners, and ERP systems
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Effective communication skills with crews and drivers
High attention to detail with strong accuracy focus
Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external partners
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
