Express is partnering with a machine and fabrication facility in Piedmont, SC. We are seeking a skilled Voortman Machine Operator to join our fabrication team. This role is responsible for operating all three Voortman systems—Drill, Saw, and Coper—to ensure precise and efficient production of structural steel components.
Operate all three Voortman machines (Drill, Saw, and Coper) as part of the steel fabrication process.
Perform daily calibration and routine checks on each system to maintain accuracy in cutting, drilling, and coping operations.
Monitor machine performance throughout the shift and adjust settings as needed to ensure precision and smooth operation.
Utilize Tekla to identify, verify, and cross-check the correct materials for each job.
Confirm that pulled materials match job specifications and project requirements before processing.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Communicate any equipment issues, discrepancies, or safety concerns to supervision.
Experience operating Voortman machinery (Drill, Saw, Coper) preferred.
Familiarity with Tekla or other industry-related software.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and job specifications.
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of fabrication processes.
Ability to lift and move materials as required.
