Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual for immediate hire as a Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate. This role is essential for ensuring outstanding customer service in our store and maintaining efficient, organized warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of building materials, strong communication skills, and the physical ability to handle inventory.

 

Responsibilities:

• Customer Service & Sales: Greet customers warmly in the store and answer phone calls promptly and professionally. Assist them with product inquiries, provide expert advice on product applications, and recommend specific items or solutions to meet their needs.
• Order Fulfillment/Pulling: Accurately pick materials and products from inventory based on sales orders and loading tickets. Use a forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck to move stock safely and efficiently
• Warehouse Operations: Assist with general warehouse duties, including receiving, unloading, and stocking incoming shipments. Pull and prepare customer orders from stock for pick-up or delivery, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, assist with regular cycle counts and physical inventories, and notify management when items need restocking.
• Merchandising & Maintenance: Keep the sales counter, showroom displays, and overall facility clean, organized, and presentable.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR
• Prior experience in industrial retail sales, customer service, or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of construction or building materials is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn company-specific software/POS systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
