Non-Profit organization in the Mississauga area is looking for a Senior HR Manager with a specialized focus on Labor/Union relations.  This is a great opportunity to work with an organization that does good for the community and helps others.  If you have 7+ years of experience in labor relations and a strong HR background, let’s chat.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the key liaison between the organization and the labor union
• Fostering positive labor-management relations and ensuring compliance with labor laws
• Address and resolve grievances and dispute in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the union representatives and management to maintain open lines of communication
• Negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements
• Help implement and revise policies and procedures within the HR Department
• Travel to other facilities, when needed for investigations
• Manage a small HR Team and help with development and growth
• Coach and support management with disciplinary activities
• Other HR tasks required daily

 

 

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience working in a Labor Relations role with and strong HR background
• Proven experience in labor relations, preferably in non-profits or similar sectors
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Relations or related field is preferred
