Accounts Receivable Clerk

 

Our client, family-owned, wholesale floral distribution company, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team. The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for accurately managing customer accounts, processing incoming payments, and maintaining organized financial records. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and excellent communication with customers and internal departments. This role is full time and hours are flexible between 7AM-4:30PM with a pay of $18.25 per hour. Job Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and issue customer invoices and account statements.
• Record and apply payments received via check, ACH, credit card, and cash.
• Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue balances and follow up on delinquent payments.
• Communicate with customers regarding account status, payment discrepancies, and billing inquiries.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are properly posted.
• Work closely with the sales and customer service departments to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all receivables transactions.
• Support the accounting team with audits and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• 2 years of previous AR experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems) preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Teamwork oriented.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
