Job Summary

The Glass Glazier is responsible for cutting, installing, and repairing glass in windows, doors, storefronts, and other fixtures. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety practices when handling glass and related materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install glass for windows, doors, mirrors, and other surfaces.
• Remove broken or damaged glass and prepare surfaces for new installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Apply sealants, adhesives, and weatherproofing materials for proper fit and finish.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently.
• Handle glass sheets and panels with care to prevent damage or injury.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• Proven experience as a glazier or in a similar role.
• Ability to measure accurately and work with precision.
• Knowledge of glass types, installation techniques, and safety procedures.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy glass panels.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
