Sales and Service Representative

Located in Janesville, WI

Reports to: Service Manager
Hours: 40-45 hours, Monday through Friday; emergency service on-call hours as needed

Job Summary
The Sales and Service Representative will manage all aspects of product sales and equipment service in a defined region, serving as the primary contact for customers and distributor sales representatives. Responsibilities include ensuring sales growth through account penetration and new customer acquisition, as well as equipment installation, preventative maintenance, and emergency service calls. The position is based out of the Janesville main office and home office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Travel as necessary to manage product sales and service in the defined region, including overnight travel
• Coordinate service with other technicians to ensure adequate coverage in the entire service region
• Promptly contact the Service Manager regarding changes in customer status, equipment, or other matters of concern
• Install and service company-owned and customer-owned dishwashers, laundry dispensers, chemical proportioners, and related equipment
• Invoice customers and collect amounts due in accordance with Company Service Policy
• Maintain correct inventory of equipment, parts, and product
• Understand and comply with company travel, mobile phone, and safety policies
• Work with the sales and service team to evaluate products and determine future needs
• Deliver chemical and non-chemical products using company vehicles
• Assist in loading products onto trucks and delivery vans
• Independently adjust delivery schedule and route to match road conditions and customer schedules
• Promote corporate service standards and cultivate professionalism, teamwork, and integrity
• Prepare all service paperwork accurately, completely, and in a timely manner

Education and Other Requirements

• Excellent understanding of laundry and warewash applications
• Strong organizational skills and professional business conduct
• Working knowledge of computers
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record for company vehicles
• Ability to lift 75 pounds, transport equipment up and down stairs, and work in non-temperature-controlled environments
• Forklift certification
• Minimum five years' service professional experience (desired)
• Prior chemical industry experience (desired)
• High school degree required

Technical Abilities

• Electrical troubleshooting and installation (24v to 480v; single or three phase)
• Welding of dishwashers and parts
• Plumbing repair and installation, including soldering and working with copper and PVC pipe
