We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to support the continued growth of our Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) solution. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, email campaign development, and marketing automation best practices. This role will focus on designing, building, and optimizing email communications leveraging Content Builder, HTML, CSS, and AMP Script, while partnering closely with our CRM team to ensure seamless integrations and impactful customer journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Partner with Product Owner to review business requirements and design solutions to meet communication objectives
• Design, build, test, and deploy emails in SFMC using Content Builder, HTML, and CSS
• Build and optimize nurture programs and multi-channel campaigns using Journey Builder
• Segment and analyze Salesforce and other prospect databases to target campaigns and provide recommendations
• Apply tracking to all marketing automation tactics and report on program performance to improve KPIs
• Perform QA testing of emails, campaigns, landing pages, and data across devices and applications
• Assist with SFMC data hygiene, system maintenance, and list imports
• Troubleshoot marketing automation issues and provide recommendations on customer journey best practices
• Build and maintain campaigns including email templates, landing pages, list segmentation, scoring, and automation workflows
• Develop dashboards and reports to communicate campaign effectiveness and provide actionable insights
• Support Salesforce and Marketing Cloud data integrations, including MuleSoft integrations with LMS (D2L), SIS (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions), and AWS RedShift
• Document solution and architecture decisions and assist in monthly feature releases

Required Skills:

 

• Strong mastery of Salesforce Marketing Cloud including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, and Contact Builder
• Extensive understanding of email marketing best practices, inbox deliverability, and CAN-SPAM compliance
• Ability to design responsive emails and dynamic content using HTML, CSS, AMP Script, and JavaScript
• Experience with campaign management methodologies including setup, coding, importing data, optimization, segmentation, testing, deployment, tracking, and reporting
• Knowledge of CRM concepts, customer journey design, and email communication best practices
• Basic knowledge of SQL queries and API concepts a plus
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Google Analytics
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams with a solution-focused mindset

 

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years (preferably 5 years) of professional experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget with proven success in campaign execution and optimization
• Experience creating automated and drip campaigns, triggered sends, and user-initiated automations
• Experience with list segmentation, large data sets, and QA testing using tools such as Litmus and Return Path
• Experience developing scalable front-end interfaces, landing pages, and microsites
• Experience with A/B and multivariate testing to optimize campaign performance
• Demonstrated ability to interpret metrics and translate into actionable insights
