Salary: $24.04-$28.85/hr

Position: Staff Accountant(Temp-to-Perm)

Shift:8am-6pm (M-F)

Pay: $50k-$60k (DOE)

Location: Mesquite, TX

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
  • Accurately code receipts and disbursements into the general ledger.
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, AR/AP control accounts, and cash balances.
  • Maintain inventory records and perform cost of sales calculations.
  • Complete vendor reconciliations and monthly account analysis.
  • Prepare adjusting journal entries and monthly tax remittance schedules.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Monitor ingredient pricing and validate recipe pricing accuracy.
  • Create and maintain cash flow analysis and payment schedules.
  • Conduct inventory spot checks and manage supplier programs for cost efficiency.
  • Validate invoices, including payroll and benefits.
  • Collaborate with leadership, other departments, and vendors.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in AP/AR, general ledger, and financial statement preparation.
  • Inventory and cost accounting expertise.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage audits and ensure compliance.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Problem-solving and process improvement mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Preferred: 3–5 years of accounting experience (manufacturing or cost accounting a plus).
  • Experience with audits, tax compliance, and inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow and profitability analysis.
  • Ability to work on-site and commit to meeting deadlines.
