Key Responsibilities

• Perform adhesive bonding of composite, metal, and honeycomb parts used in aerospace assemblies

• Read and follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, abrading, and masking to ensure proper bonding

• Mix adhesives, resins, primers, and sealants according to specifications

• Lay up materials, apply adhesives, and assemble parts in bonding fixtures or molds

• Operate curing equipment such as heat presses, vacuum bags, ovens, and autoclaves

• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure correct alignment, bond integrity, and quality standards

• Record production data, lot numbers, and inspection results according to company procedures

• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and clean-room/contamination-control standards

• Troubleshoot basic bonding issues and communicate defects or abnormalities to supervisors

• Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S initiatives

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in adhesive bonding, composite work, or aerospace manufacturing preferred

• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, manufacturing routers, and technical documents

• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

• Familiarity with composite materials, adhesives, sealants, and bonding tools

• Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

• Comfortable working in controlled environments and following strict quality standards

• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and perform repetitive manual tasks

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
