Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join a local utilities company. The ideal candidate will have prior administrative experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for coordinating service requests, dispatching field crews, and ensuring timely responses to customer and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch service calls to field technicians.

• Track and update the status of active service orders throughout the day.

• Communicate with customers regarding service requests, outages, and updates.

• Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation of all calls and dispatch activities.

• Utilize computer systems and software to input data, schedule work orders, and monitor technician routes.

• Work closely with management and field crews to ensure efficient workflow and timely resolutions.

• Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and email communication.

• Handle incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department.

• Provide excellent customer service with professionalism and urgency.

Qualifications

• Previous administrative or dispatching experience prefered but not required

• Familiarity with computers, data entry, and basic office software (Microsoft Office, email systems, etc.).

• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

• Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in utilities, construction, or field service environments is a plus, but not required.
