Full time HR Recruiting assistant  needed for a busy transportation office!  Position is M-F and may be a long term opportunity for the right fit! Starting wage is $22-25/hr. 

In this role, duties will include:

• conducting recruiting calls, communicating professionally, ensuring information is effective and appropriate to the audience
• attract top talent by implementing a recruiting plan to find the best qualified candidates
• benefit and retention program direction
• audit, organize, maintain all employment files within best practices
• compliance with government reporting: ensure all reports are accurately and timely filed
• maintain and update/improve compensation program to stay competitve
• employee relations: administer an effective employee relations programs which should include recognition/promotion of a positive and supportive work environment
• interviewing possible candidates, English required
• supervising assignments, supporting designated staff, oversight of productivity/scheduling, evaluating others work performanceand ensuring quality expectations are being met
• offer recommendations for: hiring/promotion/discipline/termination
• maintain workers comp records and documentation
• HR assistant duties such as daily reports and clerical tasks

Requirements:

• 3-5 years work experience within human resources or employee management fields
• 4 year bachelors Degree in HR or related major (PREFERENCE: professional certification or continuing education credentials in HR management such as: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or an SPHR certification
• excellent communication skills, both assertive and passive
