Operations Manager – Paint | Manufacturing Leadership

Lead multi-shift paint operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement while managing e-coat and powder coating departments using Lean and Rittal Production System (RPS) principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage 3-shift paint operations (load, e-coat, powder coating, unload)
• Execute production schedules meeting quality, delivery, and cost targets
• Champion safety initiatives toward zero-accident workplace
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma continuous improvement projects
• Oversee preventive maintenance, TPMs, and 6S standards
• Lead RPS and Shop Floor Board meetings
• Develop teams and foster positive workplace culture
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality on process improvements
• Support budget planning and cost-reduction efforts

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years large-scale fabrication/manufacturing experience
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Knowledge of e-coating, powder coating, and metal fabrication
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask in dynamic, fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Paint, fabrication, or welding operations leadership experience
• SAP experience

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, bending; extended time on factory floor; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
